To All My Single Ladies (and Gents)

Hello! I know I missed music monday and tune-age tuesday so this is just a regular post that happens to include music ;) and it will also address the title in a little bit, bear with me.

So I ordered a cd from Amazon on April 7th and have been anxiously awaiting it ever since. The delivery estimate kept telling me it would be here on the 29th basically 3 weeks after ordering it! I wasn't very excited about that but I kept hoping it would be early. So it finally arrived today! And guess what cd it is? JT 20/20 Experience! Don't judge. That's what this blog is for, posting my feelings free of judgments :)

I also fell in love with the song from the "Ready For Love" commercials. I looked it up on youtube and now I have to share it with the world! That is what I dedicate to all my single ladies and gents. There isn't exactly an abundance of lyrics in the song but what is there is spot on.

Artist: Amy Stroup
Song: Hold Onto Hope Love
Fav Lyric: Hold onto hope, love
I've searched high and low for you
For you
Each day gets closer
So hold on stronger to me
And you

I really like this song because it is about hope. There seems to be so much negativity in this world, especially lately. So hold onto hope. Whether it is hope in finding love or hope in anything. We could all use a little more hope in our lives. :)

So I send this to all of you, whether in a relationship or not, fans of JT or not, music lover or not, keep your head up and know that you are loved <3

Rainy Awakening

So I love the rain. It is my favorite type of weather. I wasn't expecting it to rain last night or this morning but apparently I was wrong. I woke up thinking my arms were tingling, then my face felt tingly. It was not just tingling. I was being splashed by a dripping ceiling! It was about 5:30 am so I wasn't exactly ready to be awake but I wasn't about to sleep next to the growing puddle on my bed. I threw some towels on it, then an empty trash can and decided it would be better to take my chances on the couch. I couldn't help feeling like I should do something more about this leak in my ceiling and, though I didn't want to bother her, I woke my mom and told her what had happened. After she gave me a much bigger bucket to catch the water, we decided to try and get a bit more sleep. My mom had been exhausted the night before and so fell right back to sleep. I was not so lucky. I decided to just begin my day as is. So I think the landlord will be here to fix my ceiling tomorrow and I will probably sleep on the couch tonight. Don't worry though, I still love the rain! It has been beautiful all day, rainy, cloudy, and cool. :)

So it is monday, and with a new week comes a new music selection! So when I was suddenly awakened this morning I ended up with Jason Mraz in my head. This is not the song that was in my head but it is a great song nonetheless.

Tune-age Tuesday?

Hello all! I apologize if it has seemed like I was neglecting you, but if you read the last post you will know that it was just a crazy past few weeks. March 10-16th I had to pack my suitcase for New York and also my entire bedroom to prepare for the move. March 17-22nd I was out of state working hard with 17 other wonderful people doing Hurricane Sandy Relief. March 23-24th were the big move days. March 25-29th was working our way out of the boxes and into our new home (crazy amount of stuff we had to fit in here). March 30-31st were both Easter celebrations. And yesterday I finally made it out of the house for the sole purpose of being outdoors and chatting with a friend. It was a good change of pace after that crazy March!

Alas, I have missed a couple of Music Mondays. For this, I am sorry. I will, however, bring you a Tune-age Tuesday to make up for it! (Yes, I made that up)

Today I bring you Taylor Swift. No wait, a Taylor Swift Cover! This cover is absolutely amazing. Every voice in here is breathtaking and how can you not love the strings. Violins make everything better in my opinion.
Song: I Knew You Were Trouble
Cover Artists: Chester See, Tyler Ward, Lindsey Stirling
Original Artist: Taylor Swift
